Mandriva and Audaxis Join Forces to Offer Open Source ERP & CRM Solutions
Tuesday January 31 2006
Mandriva, the publisher of the popular Mandriva Linux operating system, and Audaxis, provider of ERP implementation and business consulting services, today announced their partnership to offer to small and medium businesses open source enterprise resource planning (ERP) & CRM solutions based on Compiere, a leading open source ERP & CRM application.
ERP integrates core business applications such as accounting, inventory management, purchasing, and customer relationship management into a single application and eliminates redundant entries. Compiere provides a comprehensive solution for distribution and services on a global basis and covers all areas from customer management and supply chain to accounting.
"This is a very exciting new partnership for Mandriva. Our enterprise customers and partners have been looking for business solutions, and offering open source ERP services will allow Mandriva to better address the enterprise customer's needs. Many of our enterprise customers have concerns over the consolidation and uncertainty in the proprietary ERP market. The acquisitions in proprietary ERP means that some of those ERP applications will be abandoned in fewer than five years, and open source is the only safe passage for IT investment protection," said Paul Guillet, VP Sales of Mandriva.
Audaxis will deliver to Mandriva value added resellers versions of Compiere designed for the French market, along with expert assistance to ensure a successful implementation and migration of the ERP and ongoing assistance to ensure client satisfaction. Audaxis has an extensive track record of successful deployments of ERP systems. In 2002 Audaxis extended its services into open source ERP by becoming a certified Compiere partner. To meet the complex demands of the European market and multinational companies, Audaxis foresees providing training and certification to Mandriva value added resellers on Compiere's main business processes: purchasing, sales, financials and inventory.
The package for Mandriva value added resellers will include one technical training day focused on Compiere server installation, three days of training on Compiere features and functionality, a CD set of Compiere on Mandriva Enterprise Server, calls to Audaxis help desk and two certifications per year.
"We are very enthusiastic about this partnership with Mandriva. It will enable Compiere to gain greater visibility and larger adoption in the French market. Compiere is, to date, the premier ERP/CRM open source application worldwide. Furthermore, once the program is proven to be successful, Mandriva will have the ability to rely on the Compiere worldwide partner network to roll out the program worldwide," concluded Pierre Spilleboudt, Audaxis Group CEO.
