MandrakeSoft and G.T.Enterprises to distribute Linux PCs in India and Asia

Paris, France; Bangalore, INDIA - January 21st, 2004 - MandrakeSoft and G.T.Enterprises today announced an agreement to distribute Mandrake Linux products to India and Asia. As part of this agreement, G.T.Enterprises will market and promote Mandrake Linux OEM to be preloaded with Linux PCs in the Indian and Asian markets.
MandrakeSoft will provide its OEM Linux products and services - including support and training - to G.T.Enterprises, which will then sell them throughout Asia. Several lines of PCs pre-loaded with Mandrake Linux will also be made available by G.T.Enterprises, in collaboration with many MNC Brands in India.

G.T.Enterprises maintains a regional presence throughout the Asian continent, with an extensive network of retailers and reselling partners. GTE also re-exports products and services to other SAARC countries and South Asian countries. As a result, G.T.Enterprises is an excellent partner for MandrakeSoft's expansion into the Asian market.

All PCs will ship with operating systems pre-loaded at the factory, including Mandrake Linux-only or dual-boot Mandrake Linux/Windows, with expected sales of 6,000 PCs during the first quarter of 2004.
