Paris, 29th of January 2008- Mandriva has changed its fiscal year dates to
switch to a January-December year, in order to make the consolidation of
financial data easier for the group. The numbers for our 15 month financial
period from October 2006 to December 2007 are now being audited, a process
which will take the usual amount of time. This complete set of numbers will
reflect the cost of the important restructuring which took place in 2007.
We would like to provide some quick indication of the effect of the
restructuring and repositioning of Mandriva on the October-December 2007
quarterly figures.
Consolidated revenues (unaudited) are slightly above1.50M€ for the quarter.
This is to be compared to the corresponding 2006 quarter of 1.25M€ and to the
previous July-September quarter of 1.13M€. This growth represents a major
step forward for the company.
Revenues have been growing sequentially for the past 3 quarters: from 0.87M€
in January-March, to 1.02ME in April-June, to 1.13M€ in July-September, to
1.50M€ in October-December.
Of course, it will not be sufficient to change the yearly outlook and our 15
months revenue numbers will be at 5.77M€ only.
Looking into more details for the quarter:
Revenues from our Corporate Business Unit are at 0.68M€. This is the result of
our sales, marketing and engineering investment work: we closed the first
sales of our Pulse software and started deploying it or piloting it in key
customers accounts. Recurring revenues (maintenance and support essentially)
represent 31% of this number.
Our community revenues (e-commerce and retail) is still below our expectation
at 0.38M€
OEM revenues, essentially from our franchisee network and our Brazilian
operation, are satisfactory at 0.44M€.
