Scope
These results include Mandriva SA, Edge IT, a French subsidiary, Conectiva, the Brazilian subsidiary and Linbox FAS, a French subsidiary part of the group since June 1, 2007.
Change of fiscal year end
The shareholder meeting of May 25, 2007 approved a change in the fiscal year which will now be the same as the calendar year. This will allow us to synchronize the fiscal year of all the entities in the group. As a consequence, the fiscal year started on October 1, 2006 will have an exceptional duration of 15 months and will be closed on December 31, 2007.
Fourth quarter results
Sales for the fourth quarter of Fiscal 2006-2007 were 1.13M€, which is to be compared to Q4 2005-2006 of 1.15M€. Operating expenses were 1.76M€, to be compared to 2.07M€ in Q4 2005-2006. Operating result was a loss of 0.52M€, compared to a 0.73M€ loss in Q4 of the preceding year. Net result was 0.80M€.
First 12 months of fiscal 2006-2007 (15 months)
Consolidated revenue for the period is 4.27M€, compared to 5.66M€ for the similar period a year ago. Most of this decrease is due to a decrease of the consulting activity from 2.05M€ to 0.65M€, due in part to the loss of the BenQ contract in Brazil, following their bankruptcy procedure.
During the same period expenses were reduced from 8.69M€ to 7.33M€. Operating loss for the period was 2.29M€ and net loss was 3.18M€.
Perspective.
These results for the year are compliant with our expectations and were those which justified the increase in capital led by Occam in Q3.
We have now started unrolling the new strategy of Mandriva going forward
1.on the corporate business side, the integration with Linbox, both as a team and as complementary technology is now complete. Pulse 2, is under current development and first customers are currently being deployed.
2.on the consumer business side, the new product strategy, in term of simplified product line, product pricing, and free access to an open club was put in place, and results are currently according to plan.
