The Desktop Linux Summit on April 24 & 25, 2006 in San Diego, California showcased Mandriva Linux enhanced user features, stability and tools for both desktop and enterprise users. Some of the Linux magic exhibited by Mandriva included installing and configuring Oracle 10g Express and Xen on Mandriva 2006 PowerPack. Mandriva also explained its role in the Linux Standards Base (“LSB”) as a way of simplifying the creation and validation of Linux applications by independent software vendors for deployment on Mandriva Linux.
