Description: The Common UNIX Printing Sustem (CUPS) is a cross-platform printing solution for all UNIX environments. It is based on the Internet Printing Protocol and provides complete printing services to most PostScript and raster printers. CUPS provides the System V and Berkeley command-line interfaces.

Mandriva support: Mandriva hired the creator and key developer of XPP (the X Printing Panel, a graphical front-end for CUPS), Till Kamppeter, in August 2000, to support the development of the CUPS project.
