Description : Urpmi enable non-superuser install of rpms. In fact, it only authorizes well-known rpms to be installed. One of its best point is automatic handling of dependencies, and possibility to install from various media types including multiple removable media.

Mandriva support : Mandriva hired the project creator Pascal Rigaux (Pixel) in July 1999 and has been providing him all the supports to develop and improve the project.
